Terms & Conditions

Payment:

To secure your workshop place, we require a 25% deposit by BACS transfer; details will be sent to you by email.

The balance is payable on the morning of the workshop, preferably via BACS, though you may also pay the balance in cash.

Some glass materials are very expensive to buy in, so if you wish to use such pieces in your creation a small extra charge for these (payable in cash) will be made on the day.

Please note that no glass items will be made available for collection until full payment has been received.

Cancellation:

The 25% deposit paid to secure a workshop is only refundable (less a £5 administration fee) if your place can be filled by another person.

If you are unwell on the morning of the workshop (or the evening before), please contact Trisha so that your workshop can be rearranged.  Please do not bring infection to the workshop by attending if you are ill. This particularly applies if you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms such a persistent cough, high temperature, or loss of taste or smell.

Should we have to cancel for any reason, you will of course receive a full refund of your deposit.

Fused Glass - Photographs:

Trisha will take three photographs of your creations: once at the workshop, once when placed in the kiln and once after the kiln has finished.  These photographs are essential as a record should there be any issues with the firing process.

We may wish to display a photograph of your finished work on our website - if so, we will ask for your permission first.   Please bear in mind that others may be inspired by your work and wish to copy it.

Fused Glass - Postage:

Glass items will be ready for collection around 7-10 days after a workshop, but they can also be posted to you for a small fee. Whilst we endeavour to protect your creation from the vagaries of the postal system by using suitable packaging, we cannot be held responsible for any damage incurred in transit. However, if an item does arrive damaged, please contact us to discuss any possible solutions.

Fused Glass Disclaimer:

Creating decorative fused glass work requires the handling of small pieces of glass which may be very sharp.  We will give a Health & Safety briefing at the start of glass fusing workshops; see also our Safety Information, here .  We wish to stress that we cannot be held responsible for any injury sustained as a result of not following the safety instructions given, and we will ask you to sign a disclaimer to this effect.

Glass can react in different (and sometimes unexpected!) ways when it is fired. If your glass moves significantly during firing, Trisha will endeavour to re-create your work free of charge by referring to the photo she will have taken of your work prior to firing (see above). If you are not happy with the end result, you may have your money back, less your 25% deposit.

For safety and insurance reasons, children under 18 attending one of our glass fusing workshops must be accompanied by an adult. If the accompanying adult wishes to do some glass fusing as well, he/she must pay the appropriate fee.
