Glass Fusing WORKSHOPS
Trisha would love to share the magic of glass fusing with you in her workshop. Visit our Testimonials page to see how other people enjoyed their creative workshop experience! We have workshop dates available
Workshops are usually run on Tuesdays and Fridays. The workshop is airy but intimate - we can only accommodate a maximum of two people at each workshop. Please contact us to book a day or half-day workshop session - just let us know which date/s you have in mind and we’ll get back to you with our availability.
Please be aware that the workshop is only accessible via a small flight of stairs.
Gift Vouchers for our workshops are available - why not give someone you love a special treat or original birthday gift? Vouchers are available from £10 upwards, in multiples of £5, or you can buy a voucher for a whole workshop session - either half-day (£48) or full day (£96). Please contact us to request a voucher.
The following applies to all workshops: Trisha will fire your work in her glass kiln after the workshop. This process fuses all the bits together into a permanent work of art; the ultimate finish may be smooth or textured, depending on the nature of your design, and will be wonderfully tactile. Your glass will be ready for collection around 7-10 days after the workshop; it can also be posted to you for a small fee. Note that closed-toe shoes must be worn; do not wear open-toed shoes, sandals or flip-flops as glass shards may land on your feet. Please also see our Safety Information and Terms & Conditions.
Here are some of the basic shapes that can be made; larger shapes and ‘waves’ are also available…….
We offer several different types of sessions….
At your first workshop, you’ll learn how to score and break glass safely and then you’ll move on to creating your own fused glass piece using glass in a variety of forms and colours. Don’t feel nervous about cutting the glass – there will be plenty of pre-cut glass available and if you’d prefer to have Trisha cut some glass for you that’s fine too.
We offer either half-day or full-day sessions and Trisha will be on hand throughout to assist and offer advice where necessary.

Children’s Workshops
These 2 hour workshops are for children and young people aged 5 to 14. Children/young people must be accompanied throughout the workshop by an adult and the maximum we can accommodate per workshop is 2 adults and 2 children/young people. Please note that if the accompanying adult wishes to do some glass fusing as well, he/she must pay the appropriate adult fee (£32 for two hours), and must be able to supervise their child at the same time.
At this fun session, your child will be able to make a beautiful coaster or a wall hanging/sun catcher or a tea-light holder using pre-cut glass shapes, frit (crushed glass) and stringers (threads) in an exciting range of vibrant rainbow colours.
Children are always thrilled with their glass creations; not only is glass an unusual medium for them to work with, it’s also delightfully tactile once fired, the bright colours will never fade and it won’t fall to pieces! Please make your child aware that they won’t be able to take their creation away with them on the day - it has to go to the kiln for firing and will usually be available for collection a week to ten days later.
Cost: £21.00 per child. Includes all basic materials, equipment and kiln work, as well as refreshments.
Duration: 2 hours, 10.00am to 12.00pm or 2.00pm to 4.00pm
